Overview

Mercy Medical Center’s advertising needed to communicate both the quality of its medicine and the humanity of its care. The opportunity was to bring those strengths together in a distinctive brand story, giving patients a meaningful reason to choose Mercy for themselves and the people they love.

Goal

Position Mercy as a confident choice for expert, compassionate care, connecting its faith-based mission and clinical strengths to the everyday healthcare decisions of local families.

Solution

“Mercy is the best medicine” connected the hospital’s name to its promise of care. We extended that positioning into consumer campaigns that gave people specific reasons to choose Mercy, including a Stat Care campaign designed to bring new patients into its primary care physician network.

Results

  • Clear Positioning: Compassion and clinical expertise, together.
  • Consistent Expression: One recognizable voice across campaigns.
  • Patient Relevance: Messages grounded in everyday care decisions.

Want to know what a doctor thinks? Ask one.

Online searches can provide information. A physician can provide care. Our consumer campaign encouraged people to bring their everyday health questions to Mercy’s Stat Care, staffed by primary care physicians. The message, “Want to know what a doctor thinks?” paired relatable symptoms with a clear invitation to visit. An incentive card supported the campaign, connecting immediate care needs with Mercy’s broader primary care physician network.
