Overview

Medworks connects uninsured and underinsured people with free healthcare. As healthcare reform reshaped perceptions of need, the organization faced a critical communications challenge: explain why its work remained essential. TWIST helped clarify its role as both an immediate source of care and a bridge to ongoing support.

Goal

Build a brand that welcomes patients, energizes volunteers, inspires funders and helps health systems recognize Medworks as an essential partner in connecting people to care.

Solution

Our strategy began with a simple insight: in a healthcare system that feels overwhelmingly big, being small enough to connect personally is a strength. “Unconditional Care” made that advantage a clear promise. We brought it to life through audience-specific messaging, a vibrant identity, a redesigned website and campaign materials that made seeking care or supporting it feel approachable.

Results

  • Partnership: Secured a partnership with Cleveland Clinic.
  • Participation: Increased awareness and exceeded fundraising and volunteer engagement goals.
  • Clarity: Clarified the offering for patients, increasing engagement and participation..

“TWIST built a messaging strategy, visual identity system and website that literally solved all our problems. Our board was overwhelmed with enthusiasm when the strategy was presented. The TWIST product is smart, appropriate and results focused.”

Small enough to connect. Essential to care.

A clinic visit can open the door to lasting care. TWIST helped Medworks tell that larger story: removing barriers, reconnecting healthcare professionals with their purpose and helping patients find a medical home. “Do good works. Do Medworks.” turned the organization’s name into an invitation to act.
