Community West Foundation lives its purpose of illuminating hope by delivering dignity, opportunity, and well-being to the people of Western Cleveland. Yet after decades of meaningful impact, the brand faced challenges in clarity, identity, and recognition—often being confused as part of the hospital system it once supported. TWIST was brought in to reposition Community West as an independent, high-performing, values-based philanthropic leader.
Goal
Clarify Community West Foundation’s mission, create distinction from its legacy hospital affiliations, increase brand awareness and digital engagement, and strengthen donor relationships—particularly with high-net-worth individuals and professional advisors.



Solution
TWIST authored a full brand strategy rooted in dignity and shared purpose, leading to a refreshed identity and a central brand message: We Share the Same Heart.
We built a multi-channel rollout plan that included logo and identity design, campaign development, video and outdoor creative, public art storytelling, and a redesigned website. Messaging extended across Socks+, donor-advised funds, and the Community Impact Fund—each campaign crafted to build emotional connection and drive results. We also provided board communications support and internal brand training to ensure alignment across leadership, staff, and stakeholders.
